There is no doubt that computerizing patient records has qualitative
benefits. However, clinics and doctors have been slow to adopt any
Clinical Information System.
The primary reason is the perception that adopting
any such system would slow down processing patients. This paper
will show that the opposite is true. It will also illustrate that
once all the people (doctors, nurses, receptionist and other staff)
adopt the system, it saves money and allows doctors to see more
patients.
